Well, I lost my birth certificate.....I was cleaning out my desk and i thought it was in my drawer, but it is not in there. I looked on line for info on a copy, but all tehy dais is that I have to go to the the bearu of vital statistics. They make no mention of any documentation needed for confirmation of identity. Any one know what would be needed?

I'd bring as much as possible.

Passport, SS Card, Credit Cards, Driver's License, A Rent/Utilities Bill.

Then you're going to have to start over at zero and reset your age.

Although I'm sure it varies by state, I've had to get one a few times. City hall (or town hall) where you were born or parents lived when you were born will have it as well as the State's Vital Records. All you need is a licence, and in some states you don't even need that. At least in Massachusetts, the Vital Records place will set you back a lot more then town hall (at least in my case). I think it was $20 at the States Vital Records and only $3 at town hall.

I recently had to get a birth certificate in order to get a passport. To do this, I had to go to the county Recorders office, show identification and pay a $18 fee, and I left with it.

Sorry you don't exist anymore. If you look at your hand, you can see it slowly become transparent :D

The city I was born in? I was born in Brookline, but I resided in some other dump (the city escapes me, but my mom called the city a dump and she lives in Lowell, I know it's a pretty bad city, though).

Just got to brookline town hall or State Vital Records by the Expo Center. Parking is like $5 or something or just take the red line to JFK/UMass stop and walk. I think you can get the form on thier web page.. but I'm not sure.

Dump of a city might = Lynn?! or Revere.. My certificate is at Lynn, so that's why I'm guessing Lynn!

Oh, just looked at the webpage

"Certain records are restricted from public access. Identification may be required for processing some orders."

I doubt your record is restricted, unless you in witness protection or something! :)
