Watched last night's episode. It's going on my Replay list. Thankfully I listened to NPR yesterday. I thought at first it was another gawdawful reality show when I saw the blurb.

We're going to watch it.. I do have to agree that the whole "monster" thing is kinda gay, but .. maybe things are not what they seem.. it was only the first episode.

I was hoping for a pure survival-ingenuity based theme though, not tired cliche's..

I only saw like 45 minutes i missed when they crashed but it looked interesting.
Is the guy following the two main characters, one of the guys of Lord of the Rings?

Yeah, Charlie is Merry from LOTR. My sister, being a big LOTR fan, wanted to watch just because he was on. I thought the first episode was interesting. It held my attention and I want to see the next episode because the first episode left so many holes that needs patching up.

I hope the monster is not some friggin' dino!

where is Fiji and did they say where the plane took off from ? Also, wonder what the 3 guys running up the aisle on the plane was about. What's an "air pocket" in the sky, a jet stream ?

And heh... Weiss was the pilot. JJ always sticks to his actors.

no thread for this week ? It rocked like the last week and more surprises... spooky stuff with the transceiver.

Saw it for the first time today...looks like the entire airplane is full of criminals...

Seems like they make things odd just for the sake of making things odd...

... err else they have no show. It's supposed to get the mind thinking... who's who. THe writer likes to keep his options open. Hate to keep saying it... Alias is like that too.

downloading now...but Smallville's on at 8, so no can do there. But I dled last week's ep and I agree that it's one of the better new shows. Not to mention...that woman's fine.

just watched the second ep... very good show so far.

We need more shows like this and not that reality crap...

I heard an interview on the radio about the show. Sounds interesting. (I don't watch much TV so I'll probably never see it) They mentioned it is filmed in Hawaii and all of the locals kept calling 911 because of the plane on the set. They all thought there had been a real crash. 😀

The only other spoiler they gave away was that the "monster" was not a dinosaur, and that it would have a very minor role in the rest of the show.

Yeah, the monster sounds metallic like a rusty door slamming shut when it steps.

The show has been great so far.....very very layered. These whole two episodes so far have basically just been all establishing the openness...they are specifically discounting any plot or story limits you may be wanting to establish as the viewer. It's hard to explain, but, basically they're setting the stage for a show that, like Alias, can swing wildly in any direction and focus on any character and still remain plausible and interesting.

Also, lucky for us, every single survivor appears to have a dark past.

Is the black dude, the guy who played Mercutio in Leo's Romeo And Juliet?
