Thanks, that's exactly what I forgot to bring up. He mentioned something to Desmond when he showed up that really made it seem as though he was very much aware of the island reality beyond the few short visions that we've been shown so far. Anyone remember what it was that he said, something about Ana Lucia maybe?

"Oh, Ana Lucia is coming too?" or something along those lines. Then she says "Do I know you, tubby?"

I dunno whether to hate them more or pat them on the back[the producers]. They essentially introduced a big paradox creating debates, arguments and major discussions about it when they initially revealed the names with Kates name crossed out and in the end Jacob simply said "it's just a line of chalk in the wall, the job is yours if you want it". Goes to show how much confusion they put into the show on purpose with no intent on making it of importance in any way. 😛

But that's just the thing about this show. The lines were not at all confusing if you just assume that someone has been marking out names for some reason. The logical question at that point was 'why are some ames marked out while others are not?'. However fans decide to take it further by answering the question themselves and getting upset at the writers for creating confusion... When the fans are who created the confusion! 😛

edited... Bc I hate my palm pre.

Hurley asked if Ana Lucia was going with them, and Desmond responded "no, she's not ready yet"

When Ben had a gun pointed at Widmore while Widmore was in his bedroom.

I thought Widmore just said that he "wouldn't shoot", not that he "couldn't". If you guys are right and Ben can't kill Widmore, then it could just be part of Ben's manipulation. Shoot Widmore, knowing he's not going to die, to keep up the veil of being "with" MIB. Maybe Widmore got back up after they left, hurried to the well and got Desmond out before MIB and Ben got there.....or something like that, haha.

He's talking about one of the older episodes. I think these "rules" between Ben & Widmore was more of an agreement and they're not bound to it with magical properties as Jacob and MiB did. It was more due to a rilvary.

Whatever the agreement was, Widmore broke it so Ben broke it too. I believe Widmore wasn't allowed/supposed to go back to the island which he did, he wasn't allowed/supposed to kill Bens daughter which he did. So if anything, I think Ben kept his end of the deal more than Widmore did.

I know it depends on how the series ends, but I keep hoping they spin off Lost into a comic book like they did with 28 Days Later and Buffy.

Episode feels like it was rushed/missing pieces that are typically hand fed to us. Island time line seems to be moving at a pace of about 1 or 2 days per episode while the flash side ways time line appears to be moving weeks or maybe months at a time [Locke would have to spend a good amount of time [maybe a week or 2] in the hospital to heal from surgery?]. I have a feeling the finale is going to be rushed as well...

Awesome how Desmond's plan is panning out - as if he knows what to do to get certain Losties together...as if he's already seen the outcome of what's going to happen up until the current island time line. Either Desmond has some awesomely super bad ass powers in the flash sideways time line or he's got to somehow "convince" everyone to jump on a specific plane to fly over the island at a specific moment so the time lines merge...?

Sawyer/Kate seem to be in the same Zombie Sayid camp of just tagging along for the ride now.

Ben - had good reasons to want Widmore dead. Flocke first told Ben he could rule the island then he later said he was going to sink the island. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ben side with Jack or somehow help avoid the island from sinking.

So - did I see that correctly? We will get to see alternate endings after the show?

Sunday is gonna be a guaranteed frikken mind screw... I just wished they'd made a deal to reduce the # of commercials... 🙂

Speaking of Sunday, we could get a new thread started already on that. What's the official timeslot and breakdown of the last epi ?? 7PM-11:30 ??

You don't think her name was crossed out because she was a mother?

Yeah 3 alternate endings on Jimmy Kimmel's Aloha to Lost. He is also having all of the cast members after the season finale if i remember correctly...

Saturday night at 8pm is the first couple of episodes of the series. Sunday night at 7pm-9pm is some kind of thing recapping the entire series up to this point I think. 9pm-11:30pm is the series finale. 11:30pm-12:30pm is the Jimmy Kimmel special with all the main characters and alternate endings.

I think...

Ahhh, OK. That sounds right.

Oh, and did Jack or someone say "Flocke"? I could have sworn the person said it instead of saying Locke like they've still be doing even after they know it's not really Locke.

I thought I heard the same thing, Jack said somethign like " ..... if Locke ....." and it sounded like Flocke. I bet they put that in there to mess with everyone.

I like the alt Desmond arc, even if it doesn't make much sense. The rest of this ep just felt like more BS. Widmore's end was particularly anticlimactic and stupid. Jack's choice probably wasn't surprising to too many people, but I honestly didn't expect him to just jump in without a little more of an answer about what he needs to do. The "mumble incantation mumble, here drink this, now you're like me" line from Jacob ticked me off.

Looking forward to the end, in more ways than one.

how the heck are they going to end this in the finale. watch they pull a south park
