so why does Linus care so much about the island now? his original reason was doing Jacob's bidding, but Linus eventually realized the truth, killed Jacob, and lost his reason to be on the island.
is Locke going to somehow manage to have Linus take his place?
Yeah, he's going to jump into the light water slide and become Flinus.

I know and I'm not one of those "omg, every question must be answered" people, but seriously? they spent like 2 seasons centered around Walt and the crazy shit he was doing and how Important he was.AWESOME episode. might have been the best yet. was the biggest/more important so far at least.
loki, there is NO chance they talk about walt again
I did love the episode overall, but damn, it just flew by.

you know its always the same amount of episode 😛
Pretty comical that they basically changed Widmore's purpose entirely by having him simply say that Jacob visited him and showed him the errors of his ways.
The "rules" between Widmore and Linus, though - they just completely disregarded all of it. Killing Ben's daughter was "against the rules"... how are either of them even remotely involved in the "rules"?
I'm still curious about the timeline of all the occupants on the island. When did the statue builders get there, temple dwellers, Others etc.
One more thing. Why would Locke tell Ben that he's going to destroy the island? He promised Ben he could have the island to himself if he killed everyone for him, So what's Ben's motivation now?
So Jack agrees to give his life to this job of protecting the light but still doesn't ask exactly what it is, why it's so important, what would happen if it's not protected, etc etc. I know the writers won't let him ask these questions because they don't want us, the viewers, to know the answers yet... but it is pretty silly to see these characters going though all this crap and then not ask these questions when they have the chance.
that was in the original timeline. And are we supposed to believe that Kate is innocent like she said to Sawyer? Because from what I saw she did blow up the house with that guy in it, so as far as I'm concerned she killed him.
