heh Locke is fine 😛

you think the island will heal him?

yuppers....ALTHOUGH i said a few weeks ago that locke, and also sawyer could be in danger since I think the island really IS purgatory, and they both overcame their demons

It's not purgatory. The writers said this a long time ago.

I think they're lying

They came out and openly debunked several theories. That was one of them they quickly nuked.

Maybe they just didn't like that people knew what was going on so early in the show.

Maybe it's all just a dream ... like how the show Dallas ended.

Thanks for giving it away, JERK

The guy in the chair kinda looks like Locke with long hair. Doesn't Locke shave his head? 😕

Not purgatory, not an alternate dimension, but inside some psychic's twisted dream, perhaps?

Interesting theory.

After tonights episode though ... this season could be my last. If they introduce 100% new garbage to the questions ... I am done.

no, like I said already, it's jack's dad christian

here's a pic of Christian

compare that to the screencap someone provided earlier, you can see that the same bump on the nose, same forehead. this uncut hippy version was also shown drinking with sawyer in that austrian bar.

I am fully convinced that Jacob is Jack's dad Christian Shephard. 🙂

edit: I also want to point out that the name Jack is a nickname of Jacob... wiki everything is linked and obviously Jack's father Christian has a much larger role to play.

Another potentially interesting idea - there seems to be some pattern of killing off your old man in order to "fit in." Maybe that's why Walt was interesting - his Dad was already on the island?

I don't know, but I liked this episode, as well as most of this season - I know it's going to slow down again next year, however. 🙁

Nope. The actor playing Jack's dad has a classic swoop type nose - the actor playing Jacob has a stockier full nose...

it's quite close to Locke's nose as well....

/can't believe I'm talking about noses on the intertubes...

As the producers have said over and over again, this is not purgatory.

Perhaps, but we all know that if it *was* purgatory, the writers would have all said, "Oh, snap - that's right. Rats. I guess there's no reason to produce 4 more seasons of this mega-hit show, as you now have no more reason to watch. Darn. I can't believe you guys figured it out. Oh well. I guess we all need to go work on our resumes. Shucks." 😀

the 11 frames of Jacob

after reviewing all 11 frames, I am even more convinced that it's Jack's dad Christian 🙂

anyone else?

Actually, I'm even more convinced that it looks just like Locke. Put your hand over the rest of the head (hair on back) in that last frame and just focus on the front - looks like Locke to me.

Then again, why wouldn't Ben recognize Jacob as Locke - or maybe he does.

*shrug*

ahhhh more new stuff and no answers

more new stuff? yep.

no answers? wtf r u smoking. we just got the entire back story of ben's life and info that there were hostiles along with the dharma initiative.

we learned that juliette has probably switched sides since she told jack OR that jack and juliette are conspiring - though from the previews of next week the former seems true. we also see the losties now know they are thought of as dead.

Good episode. Im just confused as hell. Gives me something to think about, and a hard nights sleep.

Oh, and if this is all just a dream, or fake in some way, its starting to turn out like Links Awakening, which kinda pissed me off that the whole premise was waking up. You got nowhere!

Doesn't look like him at all. Jacob has a fatter/thicker nose. Also Jack's dad's nose is pointed at the end. Jacob's isn't.

Locke was kicking ass and taking charge! ........until the last couple minutes. :Q

Good episode. I'm betting that the invisible man comes to Locke's rescue.

i still dont quite understand why Ben shot Locke.

Locke is OBVIOUSLY going to get better. And Ben knows this. Mikheil (sp?) lived because the whatever wasn;t "set to a lethal level" thus the island cured him. Ben knows the island has healing properties, so what does he gain by shooting him?

If he didn't want Locke to go back and tell The Others that Ben is just a big fake, then he should have killed him.

Jealousy or fear maybe, didn't want Locke taking over.
