Of course they left her behind on purpose to spy. Jack has also become a retard ever since he met her.

I also absolutely hate her character. The sooner they kill her, the better.

Yeah, as soon as she whiped out the key for the handcuffs to save her and Kate from the monster cloud, there wasn't any reason left to trust her at all. I'm not sure what they would gain from spying on the group, but I'm sure that's why she's there.

I think a more interesting question is

how many times do we have to hear "We gotta save Jack, I owe him that...."

what was the dialog that went on at the very end of the show when Sayid met up with all of them? I had a phone call and didn't catch the ending.

Basially Sayid said, "she's not coming" (back to the main camp) - motioning to Juliette.
Jack said, "Yes she is"
Sayid said, "Why?"
Jack: "Because they left her behind too."
Then Jack & Juliette walked off ahead and Sayid & Kate followed.

Decent enough episode. Hurley conning Sawyer was the best part though.

What's starting to drag on for me though is the Others being the Bad Guys. This is especially in regards to Kate's attitude/responses every time they are the subject. The Others are not the Good Guys either and they certainly have an unnecessarily unfriendly demeanour, but they're not the enemy. That said, it seems that is what everyone is slowly figuring out though.

They've repeatedly killed and kidnapped the Oceanic survivors, why should they not be treated as enemies?

i swear every single person on the island (the losties and the others) just need to sit around a camp fire and have a giant knowledge dump. that would basically save an entire season of wasting time figuring stuff out.

the whole smoke monster is pretty gay I have to admit. the show would be better off w/out that crap.

and what the hell was with the flashes when it was near Juliette and Kate?

im glad they brought in the smoke beast again... its been awhile since they did anything and it really pisses me off that nothing is revealed about it. its an engaging aspect of the story for me, I love the sci-fi edge the show has. the others know about it and can control it, but dammit what the hell is it and where did it come from and how does it know about the characters (remember: the flashing images when it confronted echo).

ugh. the sci-fi edge is what pulls in, and pisses me off the most. lol

Killed? I'm trying hard to recall them killing anyone and perhaps I have forgotten, but I can't think of when they did that. If they did, they haven't gone to any great lengths to kill anyone. If they wanted to they could have killed the whole lot already. Jog my memory for me?

IMO, they are a very closed Cult like society with Ben trying to keep it that way. The most they do is acquire(kidnap) people from the crash survivors when those people are beneficial for them(children, Jack for Ben's operation, few others). Most of the leftover crash survivors they seem to have no interest in, most likely because they are more trouble than they're worth.

Only one I can remember that they killed was the dude Ethan murdered. Other than that, they manipulated Charlie into capping two (pissed me off so much when he did it 'for his son'). Oh, and the guy Locke killed got rid of April Grace, Juliette nailed that one guy. If anything, the crash survivors seem to have been worse. Ana killed Ethan, Michael got the two, Locke just got that Russian(?), the two got each other last week.

It was reading Juliette's mind, ala when it was reading Mr. Ekkos last season.

Do the Lostaways see the smoke monster like we in TV land? Or is the smoke monster some kind of literary device that's supposed to represent fear or something?

In the 1st season I read that nothing on the island was explained by science fiction, but the sentient hostile smoke monster seems like a scifi threat.

That would be the oddest most bizarre literary devices in the history of literary devices, IMO. I don't see(no pun) how they couldn't be seeing what we are seeing. Such a thing would be so outta place from the rest of the show that it would be a major mark against it.

Does this seem right to anyone else?

For one thing, I think I remember Ethan getting killed by Charlie, and I dont think Charlie has a son? I may be wrong of course...
