can you start putting a disclaimer on the lost threads to tell people to stop their whining about commercials?

What I want to know is, what the hell happened with Locke's flashback? They didn't really resolve it like they usually do. Did he get arrested? Did the cop bust the operation? What happened? With how infrequent each castaway gets a flashback episode, it could be season 4 before we find out what happened there. His whole flashback felt like it was missing a few scenes.

I feel the same.

The first season actually had direction and I think the quality of the episodes was much higher.

Now it has turned into something from Sci-Fi. They are just making crap up to string more and more fans along. It is going to back fire though. I am already getting bored.

lost is not sci-fi. i remember (i think it was season 1) when the creator of the show said that EVERYTHING on the island has a legitimate explanation. nothing is made up or fake. and I can see how so far this season it's starting to come together a little bit.

i mean we thought the polar bears could never in any way be on that island, and then we see 2 bear cages at the Others base that are empty. so they were obviously captive at some point.

there are just a bunch of little things like that, starting to come together in a neat way. i dunno, this season has me more interested than season 2 did. i love this show. it's the show i look forward to the most each week.

During this year's comiccon, I went to the lost panel and the "sci-fi on TV" panel. Both considered LOST is now officially sci-fi.

When the writers of the show say the show is now sci-fi, it's sci-fi.

Of course it's Sci-Fi. As if giant imploding hatches with huge magnestic field effects need their buttons pushed after inserting the winning lotto number actually exist on deserted islands.

Yeah, the polar bears escaped from the cages.

Charlie is annoying

Kate is hawt.

WRONG. BSG = best show on television.

LOST has the worse pacing ever, and the fvcking commercials make it worse. BSG has the same length, but it has a longer intro, and the commercials aren't so bad. I donno, it has much better pacing.

LOST and BSG are the only two series I watch on TV, but man, watching LOST on TV BLOWS. (watched seasons 1 on DVD, 2 on torrent).

One thing I absolutely detest about LOST are the lame coincidences. The cast all have some sort of connection w/ each other. That's lame. The chances of that happening are so low, that it really takes away from the show. The whole dreams and hallucinations are just dumb. they should never have that in the first place. The show would be a lot better if there weren't those lame coincidences (the characters all meeting before the island) and the lame dream/prediction/crap sequences.

other than that, it's a quality show.

But BSG is far better than LOST. But I enjoy both.

I agree 100%. Lost was a good show in season 1. got crappy, then got good at end of season 2. now its crappy again. BSG was awesome to begin with and has become better and better ever since.

And wtf is up with all the backstories. season 3 of a show shouldnt have as much backstory. Stop adding fluff to prolong the show! I dont give a crap if Locke was a drug dealer or a cop-killer. I wanna know what is happening on the island! I feel like the writers cant come up with enough present story to keep the show going for a couple more seasons...so they add fluff

I think Saheed (sp?) killed it. At least they said so on the show last night. I don't remember seeing that though.

When they went out to look at the tower (where the transmission was coming from)......they all swore not to tell anybody about the polar bear....and it was sawyer. (charline/kate/saiyed/sawyer)

Good episode. My first live ep of LOST since watching both seasons on DVD.

What the frick did Locke take to get tripped out? Peyote? Oh well not that it matters.

The only thing I didn't enjoy about the episode was that it focused so much on Locke and his past and not what is happening with the Others and the rest of the Oceanic 815 peeps. Yah I know that's how the episodes are structured, but I wanted to know what was up with Jack. Do you think they'll make him operate on the chick that got shot?

Ben is a tool, can't wait to see which character pwns him... b/c you know it's gonna happen. Unless the Others end up being good somehow. My preliminary theory is that you can't die or get sick on the island unless you're murdered or die from some unnatural cause, ie. Boone in the plane.

So I think the Others are all cancer-stricken or terminally ill, so they can't leave the island. Just a wild theory.

Well that's because these events are all happening concurrently. At the same time this is happening, Sayid/Jin/Sun are getting their boat stoled, and Sawyer is kissing Kate and stealing some guns and telling Ben all his plans

sorry that you don't want to know about characters.
to me last nights episode was perfectly fitting. the first image they painted of locke was that he was a weakish man who used to work at a kmart store, then some office, had dad issues, and now they show that he was with in on a large drug operation. and its fitting that after that they show he is stronger in the head and now is going to be a leader. he seems to be getting back to his hippie roots, getting into hallucinegens and all.

What is Rose doing, besides being the person on the island I'd like to see die by getting ripped apart by sharks?

Ethan demands that Claire be returned to him or he will kill the survivors one by one. Again, Ethan keeps his promise and kills Scott Jackson. The following day Ethan falls into a trap set up by Jack, Locke, Kate, Sayid, and Sawyer. However, before Ethan can be interrogated, Charlie shoots and kills him in anger. The name Ethan Rom is an anagram of the words "Other Man"

Happened in season one.

i'm glad some people enjoy the show for more than a string of action sequences, where they lay out plot lines with no suspense. i look at the series as a long, mystery drama. i don't mind when the action slows down then speeds up. i don't want them to resolve everything in 40 minutes and that be the end of the series. the backstories are so intriguing to me. there's a common theme where characters are always referred to as "special" and of course they have so many inner demons.

See, she needs to earn her keep - even on the island. Otherwise - sharkbait.

I miss Libby. I wish they hadn't killed her, she was interesting - mental doctor, mental patient, Desmond's sponser, Hurley's wannabe girlfriend. I hope she makes some appearances in the flashbacks with Desmond. And MAN I want to find out how Locke lost the use of his legs. I thought it would be this episode, guess not.
