The fire alarm went off in my dorm after Jack and whats her face closed the door from the flood; I returned when jack and his wife were outside somehwre and she tells him "hey at least now you've got something to fix"

Anything happen in betweem?
I didnt see anything having to do with the ppl back @ good guy camp.
 
Intresting start ... tehn bla bla bla. Can't say there were any interesting developments. Oh ... Henry's real name is Ben .... WHOOOPPPPIIIEEEEEEEEE.

And Soyer is smart enough to get food .... congrats.

Anyone else pissed at the commercials? I think I ocunted 6 commercial breaks during the show. It was like 7.5 minutes of show then 2.5 minutes of commercials. Want to loose viewers? ABC might be on their way! I mean seriously ... it was noticable how fast hte commercials were coming. I might be waiting to watch via torrent for hte rest of hte season if this BS keeps up.

I didn't mind the commericals too much... I saw the preview for "Flags of Our Fathers" which I hadn't seen before, and it looks kickass. Definitely going to see that movie. Also the preivew for "The Departed" was on (saw that before though), another good movie.

Great episode, first 5 minutes were the most shocking bit of TV I've seen in a LONG time.

juliette seemed real nice in the beginning... her little muffins, her normal community... and then the crash turned this "decent society" into prison wardens
 
do you guys remember the Orientation film from Season 2? the asian guy was talking about the Dharma initiative research programs. there was electromagnetism, some other stuff, and then something about a "utopian" society, IIRC. that opening scene with the plane crash (which blew my mind, btw) really looked like some kind of utopian society set-up. any thoughts?

So, my friend had a nice thought about the new revelations...perhaps that's where the polar bear came from. We have cages for Sawyer, and a table for dolphins/sharks...where does the polar bear fit in?
 
It sucked. wtf was that big explosion at the end of last season? And no, I don't think they were the utopian society at all, it seemed like they knew exactly what to do, as if they had done it before.

edit: oh and commercials were horrendous.
 
I found myself for the first time......bored with Lost. I don't know what I was expecting out of this episode, but it was more of the same from last season. Answer one question, but follow up with dozens more. Add to it the incessant commercial breaks and I was ready to switch off the TV after the first half-hour.

I'm hoping this season will get better because this first episode was really a major disappointment.
 
am i the only one who thinks the questions are better than the answers?

every new question brought up gives the show a new dimension/twist/theory. that, to me, is the best part of the show. letting your imagination run wild, trying to piece everything together......that's what i love about the show. i'm not ready for them to tie all loose ends and finish the show, but it always seems like people complain that we're not being spoonfed all the answers to the mysteries.

How can there be more commercials. Everytime you go to torrent sites to download, episodes are 350mb and also 43 minutes.. maybe they split the show up more this time, but honestly, commercial time = same.

Yeah. I think i'll just hit up newsgroups in the future. It'll be worth the wait.
 
Is it just me or is that the island they used in Far Cry? It looks identical, all the fencing and concrete, and of coarse beautiful scenery.

Oh and I'm always excited when it starts, and mad when it ends, glad to see this ep is still the same. I hate TV but this show is great.

Also in the beginning during the book club Juliet says "just because I pick a book that Ben doesn't like..." And Ben mentions after the crash, "so I guess I'm out of the book club." All that suggests a little enmity between them.
