why do the others want:

Jack
Kate
Hugo &
Sawyer

???
If you know the answer to that, you know the answer to alot of things.

thats what I was thinking. What about the seat numbers these people were sitting it. Does it have to do with 4 8 15 16 23 42 ?

I highly doubt the HansoFoundation online sites are in any way linked to the show (besides the obvious stuff) at this point. None of the hidden memos and Persephone stuff is intertwined. I think we may see a Hanso Foundation commercial next week that will hopefully bring the online stuff more to light.
I'm 99% positive after this Chrysler crap that it's nothing more than marketing.

I think they tell more about the execs and who was on the OTHERS side.

okay, this may be a stretch, but....

What if libby was one of the "others"?

Yeah, I know, she was seen in a flashback a few weeks ago at the airport, but I'd assume the others can get off the island if they need to. She's a freaking psychologist/Psychiatrist, right? Aren't they doing experiments like that on this island? (supposidly). If Hugo's (Hurley's) name was on Micheal's list, would that make sense as to why Libby would be giving a crap about his fat face? Maybe she was in the same institute as hurley to OBSERVE him under everyone's nose. It doesn't make sense that she looked bonkers there, then was perfectly fine only a few years later.

It's been a while since I've seen the first tailies episode, but I don't recall her being very distraught after a plane crash.

That could explain why she wasn't given a backstory.

umm... isn't libby crazy too? she was in they psych ward w/ hurley.... I don't think she's a real psychiatrist.

The others want those specific people because they all have powers of the mind, like Walt.

Jack - miracle surgery
Hurley - some powers with the numbers, like winning the lottery
Kate - she manifested the horse on the island
Sawyer - not sure on his yet

Walt - manifested things on the island, and was able to appear in locations that he was not. Remote viewing and all that jazz.

What I can't figure out is how the others knew Sawyer's real name. Either they knew in advance he was coming, or they engineered the crash as a means to attract certain people, Sawyer included, for an experiment, or whatever. The back stories would seem to illustrate that everybody had some connection to one another, in some giant mesh of sorts. But what exactly could orchestrate them all to be on the same plane at the same time?

It can go either way. Since the others have cameras in the hatches, who knows if there are more around? On the way to find Michael the first time, is when Locke called Sawyer James Ford. So maybe they heard that. Not sure though. Only 6 more days 'til we find out why the plane crashed at least.

I can't remember when Locke called Sawyer by his real name, but I'll take your word for it. Assuming that cameras are everywhere, the observers/others would hear that Sawyer is called Sawyer by everyone. Indeed, 6 more days...

Yeah it was in Episode 11 (Hunting party). But I concur, why would they use that name if they know he is known as, and goes by, Swayer? Unless they wanted Michael to know they know more than he does. I'm hoping they knew his real name because they knew he was coming, or something along those lines.

I can not wait 'til wednesday!

What about the flight manifest ? Could they have gotten it some how ?

They could have, but the manifest wouldn't say "James Ford, AKA Swayer". Locke figured it out since he knew everyone else and stuff. But this is interesting to see how they know his name.

they've already shown cameras in the hatch. they could've been watched since they first found it...

Yea but how did they know their last names? i would say pretty much every one of the survivor's hasn't revealed their last name to anyone, especially while in the hatch.

If the whole point of them being on the island is to get at these few people, then they wouldn't risk crashing the plane and killing the people they want.
The plane never crashed, it's all a set-up.

If it didn't crash, then how were they injured, how did the people die.

They were murdered. I don't think the Hanso Foundation is above murder, considering everything else they do.

There was no flight, they were all kidnapped, hypnotized into thinking they were on a plane, and it was all set up. The dead people were all murdered and thrown into the water along with the live ones for the experiment.

Everything is where it is for a very specific reason, nothing was left to random chance.

/my crazy theory

I'm hearing that a lot lately...like I'ms tarting to think EVERYTHING on the island is a hoax

edit; I think they were hypnotized into remembering being awake / thinking they were asleep during the 'crash'

Maybe, and that's been said before, but the show has actually shown us the tail section falling from the sky and crashing into the water.

No, the shot was of a person/camera actually on the island, and showed the tail falling from the sky and hitting the water. I recollection would have been shot as if the person was in the tail section.

But, why not include Locke? His paralysis was miraculously cured.
Or, why not include the black lady who has a white husband. She had some weird 6th sense that told her that her husband was still alive.

Lots of people have been healed or healed quickly, but that is because of the island, not on their own accord.

6th sense, or blind faith mixed in with some denial?

But what about Claire and her baby? it just seems the "Others" are choosing those that are some type of threat to them.

The 5 people on that list don't really have any special powers, but they are intelligent, and strong willed. BUT...why leave Sayid off the list???? I hate not being able to figure this crap out. ugggh.

but it's a tv show... they could do a recollection from the outside... heh. ok, i'm stretching.. i'll just wait for next week.

I heard that the actor who plays Michael does not want to be on the show next season, I think that Hurley will kill him, or the others will take him, appartly he won't be a regular next season.

I get the feeling the answer to this is going to come in the last 5-10 secs of the episode and will be something to the extent of one of the Others' leaders saying "Walt, you caused the crash," then BOOM, fade to black, LOST logo.

the thought I had was that maybe they are intended to replace those the survivors killed. there were 4 on the list, and 4 "others" have been killed - ethan, goodwin, and the two the tailies killed in the first smash-and-grab on the beach.

plus except for hurley, they all have obvious, non-magical abilities the others might want. Jack's a doctor, kate and sawyer are good liars/con artists

That isn't a bad idea. I didn't even think that yeah, 4 others have been killed. Not sure what the heck they want with Hurley though.

I can't waaaaaaait.
