Dammit, I was interrupted and missed a 10 minute chunk after Eko climbed the tree, but my friend filled me in...time to watch it again tomorrow!

I'm a bit lost with this episode. The TV room was a monitoring station that was also being monitored, as evidenced by the camera trained on the observation chairs. As in watch the watchers?

We are to understabnd that the whole entering the code was a experiement. That pearl station was clearly abandoned some time ago, and yet Desmond was still continuing the experiment in that hatch. We know that the hatch has been modernized (new front-loading washing machine), which implies that some agency is still actively overseeing the experiment. Doesn't compute. Seems like every new episode shatters even the best crafted grand theories.
 
In the Pearl hatch, there was a cigarette or something put out on the tray table. How old did that look? It looked semi-fresh to me, is there another way into that hatch? And yeah there was a camera in that hatch too, so that's interesting

I don't think the point is to login to anything, I think it's just to make the text say "Alvar Hanso's right hand and heir apparent.

Hmm...

I'm starting to think this is all just pointless viral marketing and doesn't really have much, if anything to do with the plot development of the show.
 
my fiance made a great observation tonight abou the Pearl room..

when Locke turn on the tvs, only 1 tv camera was on, which was the survivors hatch that desmond was in that the others did not find.. her belief is that the "others" were the social rats being part of this experiment and they somehow revolted against the scientist when they found out their "experiment'.. the others killed the real docts and destroyed the cameras that were video tapping their progress. They did not find the hatch that desmond was in since he had locked himself in pretty well and being under 10ft of dirt helped too..


onto another subject, the Hanso foundation caught me by surprised as i turned away and barely saw the end of the ad until i realize it was a fake-ad for the tv show lost.. :thumbsup: nice touch! Well clicking around, I wanted to sign up for their newsletter and a, but i typed in my "screen name" and found that someone by the name of persophne was taking back.. i could not figure out the password, so it gave this default mesaage that said "call the call center in the tv ad".. where is the number? saw the ad several times, but nothing..

The password they ask you for is "breaking strain" (got it from calling the number). Sit back, enjoy, and scratch your head.

You can also go to Joop's corner and "send Joop a message" (it can be anything).

thanks for the clarification.. seems like an excellent idea wrapping the producers are wrapping the tv and internet medium well

My sister brought up the same point last night about the experiment and the others. especially since how did the others get the medicine and stuff.....especially since it seems they have psychotropic drugs(see the episode where claires from the medical hatch)
