very nice!

looks like there's only 1 hatch missing before the secret of the big question mark can be revealed....

looks like that 1 missing hatch is scratched out though...so good luck to them finding it! 😉

The areas with the dashed lines look like hatches also. Perhaps whoever drew the map knew the number of hatches but not their exact locations. The dashed lines are where he thought they may be, and the one scratched out may mean he checked that area and didn't find one, or the hatch there was abandoned or destroyed.
I think there are still three undiscovered hatches.

the one marked out is green, which is also the color of the dotted circle, which means there's only one left to unlock the secrets of the big question mark?

I dunno, this crap is good!

can anyone make out any of the writing?

from what I can make out...there's

I am here
CV I
CV II
CV III
CV IV
swan symbol

that's it...all the rest is garbled...

The CVI, CVII are roman numerals.....notice they are CV III, or 108 😉

TRY THIS. TELL ME WHAT YOU SEE:
Go to the link above.
Now right click the image and choose Copy.
Open Paint and go to Edit-Paste
Now go to Image-Invert Colors.
The map becomes much clearer.
Now go to File-Save As and save it to your desktop.
Double click on it on your desktop and you can use the wheel on your mouse to enlarge it(WinXP).

it looks clearer and here are the most clear words

pic1 <-- inactive (something) accident. can anyone make out what that something is?

and

pic2 <-- can anyone make any of this out?

Man, Lost is so fvcking intense and mysterious. I just want the Delorean right now so I can go a few years into the future and get the full DVD box set once the show is over.

Do you guys think the lockdown happened because of the supply drop?

no, it happened because the fake henry made it happen...

he was also the only who knows how to undo the lockdown even though he lied straight to locke's face that he didn't do anything to undo the lockdown.

also, it looks like the island is starting to give everyone's handicap back...starting with locke's legs.

good stuff! 😀

I think it was the supply drop. Henry was stuck in the armory, what could he do?

The supply drop is definitely weird. That implies someone in the real world is aware and keeping this project going.

i wanna see that drawing again

The supply drop could have been from the island itself, if it was launched and dropped automagically when time ran out in the hatch.

How do you know the time ran out? They implied that he got there in time.

"HENRY" implied that he got there in time. "Henry" is also a liar. If you're locked down in the hatch, you're not going to see how the supplies got there.

But didn't time run out once before when we saw those weird heiroglyph looking pictures pop up in place of the numbers? I guess a supply drop could have happened somewhere else on the island when that occurred but that doesn't make sense.

Perhaps the whole timer thing is a means of confirming that everything is okay in the hatch and supplies are adequate. When it went off last time, it could have meant the supply drop would be delivered.

Perhaps, if someone is making test subjects of the people on the island, the doors to the living area lock down to prevent them from going out and seeing which direction the plane came from/is going to... or generally knowing anything about the drop until they see it.

I think that the magnetic force in the hatch is powerful enough to affect the tides, so that any attempt to take a boat off the island will just sweep you right back... as we witnessed with the raft.

Someone needs to make a thread entirely about lost theories and stuff.

I bet money it wasnt from a plane. I bet it was 'launched' from elsewhere in the island

when you're at the beach with large waves, can you hear the planes that fly those ad banners?

yah, actually I was going to post that.

I also think Gale didn't really reset the numbers, I think he put in some sort of code to release the door
