Losing USB Mouse on K7T/266

I just upgraded to an MSI K7T/266 and use a USB Logitech Optical mouse with it. During most computing sessions, I spuriously have my mouse quit functioning, quite noticeable since the cool blue light also goes out. Requires me to replug into one of the other USB ports. Anyone experience similar problems and if so, is there any solution. Thanks.
