Los Angeles or USC students how is the area around Crenshaw at 39th Street and 3rd or 2nd.I'm going to buy a computer

Ok I don't know the neighborhood but I'm about to go buy a computer from this guy who says he is disabled so I have to come to his house. Anyways I once knew a guy who went to USC and said he has been robbed their before and that it is a terrible neighborhood(lost his number). Anyways I'll be bringing cash $1000 so I may be a sitting duck. Anyways should I be worried. By the way I'm a 5'11" 155 lbs. toothpick (not that size matters if someone's got a gun or their are 4 guys waiting to jump me.

not a good area of town...see if you can take a friend with you, definitely don't go at night, cuz you won't want to be making multiple trips from his apt to your car with the equip. I'm from LA, but I don't ever have a reason to go over there. If it's more than a block from the USC campus, it's a pretty bad area. I wouldn't go alone if I were you.

Anywhere near that area is trouble. I live in Southern Cali. and wouldn't ever go to that area at night. I wouldn't go there much during daytime either. If I did, I'd take a hooptie car and get out quick.

thx yeah I'll see if he can meet me somewhere else but he is disabled. Yeah it's a pretty good deal but probably not worth the risk.
