That was no federal investigator. The interpol agent was highly annoying and did not pass off as a cop. And it was my understanding that they work with agencies, and didn't really have field agents themselves.

Anyways, I think the message that it was trying to spread was a little repetative as well. There were a few comical parts, but meh.

Blame the USSR for leaving their stockpiles all over the place.
 
Just finished watching it. It was good, a bit predictable at times, but still worth a rent. Also, it wasn't backed by any major US studio - they had to get foreign financing.
 
it was above average but not the best. the beginning was the most interesting part for me.



btw, if anyone wants to watch a comedy, try the 40 year old virgin. i think when you hear the title, you'll think this is some sort of dumbass movie but its actually pretty funny
 
i also watched it with fairly low expectations, expecting more of an action flic. i was VERY impressed with it. very well written/directed, and had a very good message in it
 
heh, i saw it in the theater.... dont quite remember it.. wasnt really paying attention to the movie so much as the person next to me. Guess ill have to rent it to see what it was about. Tha was a pretty good date for not even watching the movie.
 
I'm not to fond of Cage but the last two of his films that I saw, Lord of War and The weatherman, really impressed me. If you guys haven't seen it, The weatherman is odd but funny.
 
It's in theatres now, here. I saw it the day before yesterday and liked it. It's a good approach to the issue although our five top exporters were let off the hook too easily. But it's okay when the portrait of the middleman and the consequences are well shown.

I've read that mid-budget films with one big name face hard times and the trend goes to cheap projects and big productions with even more stars?

On a side note, "based on real events" is an overused phrase to me, I'm surprised someone mentioned it. I'm not saying that this movie isn't realistic, but, well. Just a bit surprised I am.
