I got 11 points. Been over 10yrs since I've read the series, so, I'm relatively pleased with my performance.

Possible SPOILER:
The one question I will sort of give away is: Was Gollum a Hobit or some other creature? The quiz implies he was a hobit. I thought he was another creature, so, the answer to who was the first hobbit to wear the ring seems wrong, but, I don't know for sure.

Thanks! I thought it might have been something like that, but, I couldn't remember. Quite a tricky question, but, most people got it right. Too bad for me. 😀

I got 18! I am reading the first book now for the first time and I'm abotu 3/4 way through so that's why i got most of em.

But I read the books over the summer again.
He wasn't a hobbiton hobbit he was an outlander hobbit.
 
Smeagol was definitely a hobbit.
It's not a major point, but the text iterates it in a couple of places. I would check the appendicies.
