This is an awesome set. I got it when it first came out. It's about 12 hours of LOR movies. They are so addictive, I ended up watching 3-4 hours at a time. (much to the chagrin of my wife, who does not like them at all).

Time to pull out the set and watch them again :)

Thanks Joker.

This is the version with all the EXTRA footage that was not in the theaters. I haven't see all of them, but I saw the beginning of the extended version of the first movie, and dang, it was like watching a different (better) movie than I saw in the theater!. Shame they couldn't have put the 'directors cut' version out at the theater, but it would have been too long for the average person to sit through.

Glendor: They already did :) A couple weeks before the 3rd movie was aired they had the first 2 extended edition movies playing in theatre. In fact if you waited until the day of release of the 3rd, you could see all 3 in a row (well the last wasn't EE), including seeing the 3rd a couple hours early. Of course it was like $40 to see all 3 and get the priveledge of seeing the 3rd early lol.
