Hahahaha, when you find that master remote with a mute feature, let me know. Heck, I'd even be willing to fund research for it if it doesn't exist. :)

Wha?! As I was posting this, my sister poked her head in and bopped me on the head for NO REASON! I swear the other half has some sort of private sub-ether communication ability....it's UNCANNY. :|

lol, that's the wimmens net, the ultimate in wireless networking:D

Beats my setup! ;)

ROTFLMAO !!!

Looks like cable ties are a foreign concept there :D

She knew you had it coming. You were probably typing too fast or being too quiet.

I like having multiple remotes vs 'one remote to bind them all'. The universal ones are a PITA, especially when visiting friends and family. Trying to figure out what button is programmed for what... bah! So, I have one for the TV, CD, Tuner, DVD, etc.

My friend bought me a universal remote from Radio Scrap that he made a dongle for to connect to the PC and you can program it to do pretty much any remote can do. They also have a UHF transmission and repeater option for using it to control things in other rooms.

Nothing beats that MAXIM G/F remote though. :D

I was thinking last night "I wish I had a remote to turn off the room light, I don't want to get up" (and I don't want the clapper). So what did I do? Went to sleep with the light on.

Have remotes for half of the ceiling fans in the house. They also control the light. They are great for bedrooms, turn fan on/off w/o ever leaving the bed.

[EDIT] The fan in the Family Room was on remote. I left it at the default setting / freq. Kept getting up in the morning and the light was on. Realized a neighbor has same unit. Had fun after I switched the freq in mine first. :D[/edit]

A good cheap one is the Sony AV-3000. It can be found online for about $115 delivered, and it does anything and everything those remotes do once you set it up.

Yes, I am aware. Last time I was looking at them I was considering the Pronto TS2000.

I wish I had a remote that would take stuff to the trash for me. :D

I've felt like unprogramming my remote to skip over WE & Lifetime as I already have removed QVC & HSN. I also get bored of controlling the remote sometimes... so I hand it over to my brother to surf the channels for me... talk about lazy!! :D

Lutron makes both simple and complex remote control light systems in both RF and IR. Once you have remote control lights... you'll never have the remote handy and have to get your ass up any freakin' how :p

If Oprah is on you would be sorely disappointed, However during the super bowl, you could switch to Oprah, and then toss it........
