Yes, because it's ok to steal as long as its from a big company.

I didn't say that. I just said that I won't be protecting the place.

Protecting a lady that got her purse snatched is heroic. Protecting goods of a company that doesn't care about you is rather moronic.

If the cops are useless for whatever reason, vigilantism is acceptable. Its your fucking home, take care of it.
As for the inevitable argument "you put yourself at risk" it usually comes from spoiled ignorant suburbanites who have no fucking clue just how dangerous the world is and how unsafe they really are.

lol... "you don't know how safe this world is." jp

Also, lol @ "Toronto Riots" in the thread title. It was a twenty minute period of ten to fifteen douchebags throwing rocks through plate glass windows and torching all of 4 police cruisers. Though our national media certainly made it out to be the end of the world.
Yours is an amazing post. Very reflective of your mindset.

How many plate glass windows would it take to be deemed a riot in your mind? How many more police cruisers would have to be torched for it to become a riot?

What term would you use to describe what happened?

How do you define a riot?

If it was your shop window that got smashed out, your property that was damaged or stolen, I'm guessing you'd be good with that - right? Who is going to pay to replace the police cars? I'll give you some choices but don't feel limited to just these choices.

The protesters
Nobody
The taxpayers
I don't know
I don't care

If you can't tell the difference between a handful of people throwing rocks through windows and an actual riot, you're probably some dumbass on the Internet who wasn't actually there to tell the difference.

The looter was a little trustafarian. Mommy probably wouldn't buy him a smartphone so he tried to loot. Go Canada, you got more balls than the French who let the Muslims extremists shit all over them.

You could tell the guy keeps in shape and is pretty strong, but I don't know if I'd be doing that at around 40 years old.

Dude, 40 isn't that old......unless of course you're 20.

So, were you observing, or participating? Based on your attitude, I'd say participating. We're you one of the brave souls ensconced in black with your face covered so your identity wouldn't be revealed?

So the lesson is that guns are completely un-necessary for self defense and American gun-penises shriveled a bit.

Dang, even for me, that was a good troll <pats self on back>

Sweet, + 1 for stopping someone from stealing overpriced merchandise you have no care for and run the risk of being stabbed with a dirty syringe

Until you understand Hegel's dialectic, you will look for answers where there are none, where the misdirection leads you.

Letting "rioters" riot works in favor of The Government's need to control. The backlash from a frightened / angered public eases the removal of civil liberties in favor of order.

When it get's called a riot or other civil insurrection, insurance doesn't have to cover anything.

They need to have these G20s in like Somalia. Warlords won't let their shops get jacked and if 'rioters' destroy the place it makes no difference. I doubt they would even show though. I can't see a bunch or eurotrash, hippies and anarchists trying to raise hell on the streets of Mogadishu...least not for long.
