I paid over $30 on shipping to receive an item today by 10:30 and it hasn't arrived, and our mailroom closes in 30 minutes. I'll have to purchase the item in person tomorrow morning, and then have to refund and ship back the item I ordered from Newegg.

Will Newegg bend me over? Should I file a complaint with my CC company? I am really upset at this whole mess. I am going to lose ~80 dollars in this whole deal I had going on now.

You're not the FedEx's customer, so you need to deal with Newegg's customer support. I'd call them as soon as it becomes impossible for you to receive the item today.

I'd call them now. If it was a non -weather fault of FedEx, they will refund NewEgg, who should refund you in kind.

Oh well.

Newegg told me that they have a 48-hour window (regardless that I paid the "rush processing fee") and that it does NOT guarantee that it will be delivered by the Next Day.

Way to fuck over a customer Newegg. You lost a decent customer.

If I were Newegg I would hire a person to track shipments just so I can get refunds. Would I refund the customer? Hell no.

I paid $30 fucking dollars to have an item here by 10:30am. The item isn't even worth that much. Why shouldn't you refund the person who spent money on absofuckinglutely nothing?

How did they fuck you over? From their FAQ:
Does my expedited shipping option (Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, etc.) ensure my order will be shipped out the same day it is placed?
Unfortunately it does not. All orders are processed and shipped within our 1-2 business day processing timeframe, regardless of the shipping option selected. Although we do our best to ship out all orders the same day they are placed, we can never guarantee same day shipping on any order. Processing time is not included in your shipping option, so an order shipped using next day air will arrive in one business day from the day it is shipped.

To help ensure an urgent order is delivered to you as quickly as possible, Newegg.com offers a Rush Processing option for orders placed before 12PM PST. This option costs a small additional fee, and Newegg will put forth its best efforts to ensure your package leaves our warehouse that day.
