Drench it in wasp spray and run for your life.

Just flick it off with a pole.
Or get one of those Ant & Wasp Killer sprays that shoots out like 10ft.
Or fire. Fire cleanses all.

Someone link to the guy who burned down the bee hive on his kid's swingset.
EDIT: I'm voting stick your head out the window with a lighter and hairspray!
Have someone on the ground level video tape.

1. Go to Home Depot (or any hardware/home improvement store)
2. Buy can of wasp spray with a long range. The type I buy is in a yellow can and has something like a 15' range.
3. Spray the hell out of wasp nest. Don't wuss out and spray for a tenth of a sec then run. Spray it down good.
4. Point and laugh while dead wasps fall off of the nest.

I took apart an old swimming pool once... there were 4 or 5 wasp nests that I encountered over the course of the job. I purchased a can of that wasp spray stuff that allows you to attack from a safe distance, or so it seemed. Upon being hit, wasps going through several stages: 1. Pissed off. 2. Out for revenge. 3. Sluggish 4. Dead. The distance they can fly during stages 1 and 2 is well greater than the distance that the spray will extend from the can PLUS the distance a human can run down the street screaming like a girl during that time.
More recently, I was preparing to paint my garage doors. I was pressure washing them to get rid of grime. Then, I decided to pressure wash the siding. I noticed a conglomeration of wasps nests in a vent at the top of the garage. The wasps seemed somewhat aggitated at my presence. I turned my pressure washer to a fairly narrow spray and blasted the heck out of those suckers. I think the combination of cold water + just being water confused them a bit... zero stings. Zero even came close to me. They just seemed to run for their lives.
