We usually only bitch about the government when they a) create a problem instead of solve them b) cater to something that only effects a minority.

They overstep their bounds 99% of the time. Now, go figure out which branch of government that is that most people complain about. Then find out exactly what they have done to rectify THIS situation.

Right, when in YOUR opinion it is nanny state and when it isn't. Hehehe, you distinctions without difference don't impress me. For example, we progressives only resort to government mandate when it's in your best interests and never when it's not. See how that works?

Now you know that what you call a problem is when you don't want to do what is best for you because you're in the minority of the stupid.

The former president of Mexico just told Bloomberg that the US is completely responsible for the organized crime deaths in Mexico over the last year.

To some extent he is right. If the US did not buy all those drugs then there be no reason to kill someone for turff, arrest, etc...

But there still be a sh1t load of crime as unemployed people are usaully not very happy.

Ariz. sheriff: I'll jail immigration protesters

WASHINGTON – The sheriff of the most populous county in Arizona says he's "not going to put up with any civil disobedience" when the state's new immigration law takes effect.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that if protesters want to block his jail, he'll put them in it.

The Arizona law, which takes effect Thursday, requires officers enforcing other laws to check a person's immigration status if they suspect the person is in the country illegally.

Arpaio told ABC's "Good Morning America" he doesn't know "what the big hype is."

He says it's "a crime to be here illegally and everyone should enforce" the law.

You gotta love sheriff Joe, he's awesome. If we had more of him around the country we'd have a lot fewer problems.

I am israeli... my grandfather had his numeric tattoo on his arm till the day he died. This is a slippery slope that Arizona is treading down.

Hey, good idea!! We could tattoo a number across their forehead when caught. That would eliminate the need for all this nasty "profiling" and at the same time make them so much easier to catch when they sneak back into the country after we deport them.

Why aren't they blaming their south American neighbors? If they did not make and sell all those drugs, there would be no reason for all the above either.
