Looks like the A7N266-C supports .13 CPU's

Was just looking at the notes file for the new E BIOS for the Asus A7N266-C, and noticed that it says it supports the new .13u 1800+ CPU.

Linky: A7N266-C -E BIOS notes.

What I don't understand is what the new .13u would be released as low as 1800+?

Maybe its because P4's are still being released at 1.8GHz?

Oh well, at least it nice to know that they're supporting this now and not later.

That's actually good for AnandTech enthusiasts when you take into account that most people have been able to overclock their 1.53GHz (1800+) AXP Palominos to anywhere between 1.75-1.8GHz (a lot have gotten higher) on air cooling, and assuming that Thoroughbred is, at worst, ~ 10% cooler than Palomino at the same clock speed, a 1.53Ghz (1800+) Thoroughbred would be able to overclock anywhere between 1.9-1.95GHz. This might even propel AMD back into the overclockers? preference spot, currently occupied by the 1.6A Pentium 4.

And of course they're going to be cheap as hell. 🙂 It's also good to know that this particular nForce board supports the Tbreds, as I've been contemplating this upgrade for weeks...
