Lol Jeffries with the plurality of the votes in the first round. Now have Dems made a deal to help pick a moderate GOP as speaker to get rid of the spineless one?

Somehow, I do believe this marks the official irrelevancy of Donald Trump. I'm talking about the day when we no longer utter the name of Trump. I do believe that day may have arrived, and.... it turns out it was not the democrats that delivered that day but the house republicans that delivered to us that day.
Yeah, there is definitely a link here.

Not sure there is a moderate GOP left in the House... although the Dems could maybe nominate David Valadao (who voted to impeach Trump, and is nearly alone now amongst Republicans in the House in being willing to work across the aisle)

Will the traitors in next round threaten to not vote? Jeffries can win with 212 Dem votes if 11 Reps leave the house floor.

This is what happens to a party that tied themselves in knots to defend their criminal in office, led by a loser with the spine of a jelly fish. This was soo predictable.

A GOP source who is not in the Freedom Caucus told CNN: “I just don't know how he gets there. They (Freedom Caucus) smell blood. He gave in to demand after demand, none of it was enough. In fact, he lost votes. These folks don’t want to get to yes.

The Freedom Caucus in a nutshell. Negotiate with them and they will think you weak for it. This attitude, more than anything else, is why Congress is so broken. Politics run on compromise, and an unreasonable number of people think compromise is a bad thing.

Can you imagine the comedy if GOP manages to elect...

quoting the great Louis Winthorpe from Trading Places...

"that terrible awful negro"

Has anyone seen the bold vision house republicans crafted? I guess I missed it.

McCarthy won a standing ovation from most Republicans on the House floor Tuesday as he was introduced by Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., who nominated him to be the next House speaker.

"Under Kevin McCarthy’s leadership, House Republicans crafted a bold vision to put America back on track," she said.

Stefanik touted McCarthy’s pro-life and pro-Second Amendment stance, and said he’s "committed to stopping wasteful spending and shrinking the size of government."

Oh wait, here it is.
