It seriously baffles me how seriously he takes himself. His AMEX commercial is so pretentious and narcissistic that you can't help but laugh in his face. All of his movies have been long winded text-book art school dropout style films that all have the same exact plot device and desperate attempt at symbolism over and over and over again.. how Paul Giamatti actually agreed to do this film is beyond he, he's far too good for something so hilariously terrible.

I don't understand why critics (and people for that matter) hate him so much? When i read some of the reviews, it seems to me like they came into the moving hating him.

Well I liked Sixth Sense and Signs but Unbreakable was horrible and The Village was just meh.

I'll wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it if anything.

Unbreakable used colors much like a lot of his other movies to show what was good and what was evil, I stopped watching the Village after about 20 minutes, sorry I can't comment on this one.

6th sense takes place during Halloween, he uses shadows and reflections a lot almost ad nausem.. we get it. He uses the color red all over the place. The scene with the red balloon going up the staircase towards the light.. come on, textbook. The use of doors and windows all over the place. If you rewatch the film and notice all the things that are red you'll seriously begin to laugh at how primitive his storywriting is.

The color red was a sign that something bad was about to happen... if anything I liked its usage in The Sixth Sense-- for the most part, it was something you never even noticed, yet subconciously you did.

It created a bit of drama more efficiently than a lot of movies which simply play creepy music to tell you how you should feel...

I liked his movies up to The Village, it was awful. I figured out the twists part of the way through and got bored.
I have no interest in seeing another one like that.

I've liked most of his stuff and I absolutely hate horror movies. I dunno. I loved Signs and The Village, and Sixth Sense was pretty good imo. Unbreakable his worst to date, but I still enjoyed it though. And I refuse to watch regular horror movies such as Hostel and sh!t like that.

I was actually diggin' Signs right up to the point where the alien appeared for the first time...then I was like WTF is this SH!T.

I forced myself not to like it from that point on.

his movies aren't hard on the eyes, just the head ;) I like how that review called signs the most beautiful dumb movie you'll see.

enough is enough, we should just give him a phony oscar and tell him to make movies for bollywood.

I've never been a big fan of his movies. Although I liked unbreakable and the 6th sense. I never really had any desire to see the other ones but always look at reveiws for most new movies and it always struck me as people jus hate him.

I watched the Sixth Sense and liked it, but I have no desire to re-watch it. I finally made myself sit down and watch Unbreakable on TNT the other night. It was an interesting movie, but slow and could have been so much better. Signs was just bad and very anti-climactic.

When I saw the trailer for The Village, I told a friend what the twist was going to be. I then asked a co-worker who saw the movie if I was correct, and I was. (I'm being vague to not spoil it for anyone who hasn't figured it out.)

This Lady movie looks terrible. No desire to even watch the commercial.

I guess the real question is: Who's worse: Michael Bay or MNS?

People hate him, so they hate this movie. No surprise.

I just saw it tonight, and I thought it was great! a great story made by a great storyteller.
