looks like it might actually snow

I've been waiting for a decently bad condition to test out my new tires. I know, I know... be careful what you wish for...

A4 quattro. Had been using the stock pirelli p6 tires. Had to get new ones due to tread wear. Have continental extreme contacts now.

nice! definitely nicer than my minivan 😉

Bah.....the weather people around MNSP bite. They have now forcasted twice 6-8" snowfalls that never materialized. Hell, last year I never even put gas in the snowblower. Still waiting for the first dump to fire it up this year.

Did you get the semi-freezing rain on Saturday in Madison?

yeah, we had about 1/3 inch ice build up. it wasn't too bad though because it warmed up afterwards.

DAMN...that's where all the warm air went.😉

Actually, it wasn't bad here. It did not sleet, it was more almost like tiny hail but not quite frozen solid. So the trees did ot get covered like they would with freezing rain.

BUT, it did then get and stay cold here (teens - 20F). The good part is it is not slick, it stayed cold enough that there is a rough texture to it so walking down a hill covered with it is no problem.
