As soon as we're finished with the cleanup and begun reconstruction of Iraq, the next natural step would be to delay the removal of the forces from the region and put diplomatic pressure on Iran. I think they're the next domino in the line, seeing as how the vast majority is clamoring for democracy.

That would be the exact wrong thing to do. Our forces need to get out of Iraq ASAP. The students and younger generation in Iran will force changes soon enough.

The Iranian government is largely friendly to the U.S. - but the Iranian population in the eastern side of the country has large numbers of radicals. Unfortunately the military leadership in Iran has a large number of radicals in it, too. Also don't forget that unofficially Iran and Isreal have been working together for their own benefits for twenty five years now.

I dont think its on the agenda to invade and occupy Iran or any other Arab country...? If any are it would be more like Syria... 😉 Iran more likely see`s this a chance to open relations with us to also get a part of the rebuild of Iraq and its economy... They too could benifit from rebuilding and support oil exports...


Our actions in Iraq being quick and decisive have made some of the other problematic countries in the world sit up and take notice that the US is not quite the big softy that they have made us out to be, but also we have a very humane side too... The situation in Iraq was far more brutal over a period of years than a 3 week war has been and that is for sure... The lives lost in the past 3 weeks does not even come close to the lives that were touched or murdered by (So Damn Insane)...
