True story, I was in the mortgage business since I was 12 (Born on date 1971). When I turned 23, I was able to buy my first house. I showed up to closing with $40-50k in cash for a sizable down-payment (1992).

I had to be escorted off the property and told to come back with a cashier's check.

Because he needed armed security escort to protect $40-50k in case he got robbed you silly. He's VIP. Remember he was in mortgage business since he was 12. Yet he didn't know enough to bring cashier check to the closing table.
