there will be a ton of copycats now, trolling for responses and then boom, parody thread. it will get annoying very quickly

I'm in a pretty stupid situation, and I'm going to require the services of a Lawyer.

I already have a huge list of Lawyers in my area, and what I would like to ask of you ATOT'ers is how I should go about selecting one. What criteria should I expect him/her to meet? I could elaborate on the situation if necessary.

EDIT: Situation explained below.

fail for not updating the op

cant copy/paste? srly?!

u suck (and swallow)

yeah, i know this is a pardy thread

I just want to post in this thread. As a lurker I felt it would be for the greater good.
GL to you ajajaj.... you're toast on ATOT. Might as well resub and lurk with me.

lol. EPIC parody > EPIC original thread.

Hell, it's dragged out more lurkers than the ~annual lurker callout threads!

From the looks of it, he said a bunch of things to DrPizza that he shouldn't have.

It looks like they permaban him and if they did I think it's overkill.

"And your repeated personal attacks and other rudeness are good reasons why you should continue not posting for more years.

Good bye.

After all the abuse he got in the thread (I am as guilty as every one here) I can see why he would get upset and get himself in trouble with the mods.

Unban ajaja

You guys did rear end him pretty bad I'd have to admit. I recall helping by posting in his thread about the old laptop artifacts on his first few posts here, he.. didn't seem to be the guy he turned out to be in OT.

<-------------- Lawyer (specializing in IP law)

A number of factors go into choosing a lawyer, including but not limited to:

1. Area of expertise - Don't hire Joe the real estate lawyer to handle your solicitation of prostitution case.

2. Cost - Don't hire Johnny Cochran if you can only afford Johnny Doorag. Find out what charges you will be responsible for and how they will accrue. Ask if the attorney offers fixed fee service (i.e., charges a flat rate for handling certain action items or even an entire case)

3. Level of expertise - If your case/action item is straightforward, you don't need the foremost expert in the field to handle it.

4. Signals (appearance, offices, etc.) - Successful attorneys usually demonstrate their successfulness with nice clothes, nice office's etc. If the attorney you are speaking to has money to burn on that stuff, he/she probably wins cases. Either that or he/she is really good at selling his/her services. it might be a combination of both. Temper this against #2.

5. Your "comfort level" - Are you comfortable talking to the attorney? Is he/she articulate? Is he/she fidgity? Cold? Reserved? Overly talkative? Does he/she seem detail oriented? Etc.

Good luck.
