Looks like I'm going to be getting a new LS2 shortblock for free

Somewhat related, by my 911 shows me oil level on the dash when you put the key in.

My 335i did something similar, but it also didn't have a dipstick. Kind of annoying.

GM isn't exactly leading the technology race for things such as this. But I am amazed that some idiot light didn't go off, whether pressure or level in a time before there was any real damage.

I have to ask what else was done to the car from an electronics perspective? Engine failure from loss of oil should almost never happen.

Illegal in Michigan. My daughter worked at Dairy Queen when she was 16 and someone passed a fake $50 to her when she was on the register. The boss was going to take it out of her pay, I talked to him the next day on the phone and pointed out that this was illegal, quoting the law to him and told him the Attorney General had a specific department to deal with such matters. Unless it is a willful act by an employee you can not take it out of their pay.

might be better than the alternative. If they can't take it out of your pay then you're a liability so they fire you.

I'd let them fix the car but I'd never take my car back there. Owner didn't even take the time to look your car over after you expressed concerns. On top of that no one double checked "the kids" work.
Best keep all the paperwork and all evidence as this sounds like a sleazy poorly run company.

if everyone ran around writing off companies this quick nobody would have a good reputation, and if they did you'd be paying out the nose for all Sr. mechanics.

No, I should have though. I didn't think it would be a big deal. Once I get new heads and intake manifold I'll send them to get coated. It will also help with temps.

It's funny how when people ask if my car comes stock with coated headers. Like any car short of an exotic would have such a thing from the factory. Guess it's a dead give away if I need warranty work done.

Throw some money at some heads, an intake and TB too and maybe you can hit that 500 whp you were looking for with the mods you started out with!

I want to get DBA rotors, JHP guage pods, dual disc clutch, 3.91 gears, and a GMM Ripshifter before I do more engine stuff. I'd really like to eventually have a 402 stroker.
