Looks like I'll be sitting in a theater for 10 hours on 12/16 :)

Hmm, if tickets really are limited...you think one could make a profit on these?? LOTR geeks aren't exactly in the lowest income brackets...

I'm usually a nice person, but some things just get under my skin. This is one of them. Roast in hell, scalper.

blah, you snooze you lose ... scalpers are essential!

sigh. but I am SO not snoozin'...

and I still have not managed to order tickets to the thing.

8 failed orders in my account now.. 5 failed from the getgo, 3 made it to processing and no further (but show up failed) and amc is no longer a buyable option on movietickets.com.

I hear they'll be on sale a the theater tomorrow, but.. I really don't want to go there, I have too many other places I have to go tomorrow already and no certainty I can even fit all of those in (I have to go get new tires, for one thing.. lord knows how long that'll take).

dammit.. I am never gonna get these tickets, and half the world is gonna be mad at me..

Sold out minutes after they went on sale @ Arclight in Hollywood.

Either:
1) Arclight is holding a bunch of tickets for "special" people who probably couldn't care less.
2) Ticket scalping scumbags took the tickets
3) Elitist film queers / ubergeeks were lined up since last night to buy them

None of those three would surprise me given it's Hollywood.

My friend's sister got tickets because she had somebody at the box office. I called , I tried the Web site and it was a goddamn joke. The Block was sold out in seconds also. GODDAMMIT.

I HATE EVERYONE THAT GOT TICKETS!!!!!!

OOS - please update the thread title 😛

Not OOS yet! Just depends on where you live. 🙂 Those damn scalpers and eBayers didn't help matters either. :disgust:

With online ticketing they could buy tickets for theaters thousands of miles away and still sell them.
