Samsung 256MB PC2700 DDR

PCI/AGP locked at 33/66, Bus @ 163
CAS 2.5 Turbo settings

Increased Vcore by 0.15 (Edit initially was 0.075 but had a few errors on Prime95 so I upped it to 0.15)

Havent tried any higher yet. It did 2.4 out of the box, no voltage increases or anything

Nice little upgrade from my celly 300A =)

PS Thanks to the posters and regulars here, ive learnt a lot from reading your experiences of overclocking. Im a relative newbie really, this is only my 2nd attempt at an overclock and it worked like a dream.

<< what divider is running on RAM?
man, i was wondering if you could go 2.6 with a 2.0 - you did it with a 1.6!

What do you mean divider? Its running at 163

Nice! The 4BDA2+ rocks. You can set the ram for 200 or 266 which actually means 1:1 or 3:4 FSB:mem ratio. For instance:

You are running 1.6A @ 2.4, 150 FSB
Ram speed = 150 x 2 (DDR) = 300 MHz with the "200" 1:1 setting
Ram speed = 150 x 2 (DDR) x 1.33 with the "266" 3:4 setting = 400 DDR
You need pretty good ram to run DDR400

With your setup (SWEET CPU!)
Ram speed @ 163 FSB = 326 DDR 1:1
Ram Speed @ 163 FSB = 434 DDR 3:4
Your ram would have to be some pretty good stuff to handle it. The Samsung PC2700 is very good. Mine runs DDR400 no problem. You could try it. Set the timings to slowest (normal 2.5 3,3,7). Maybe up the VDIMM to 2.8.

What is the batch, pack date, etc of that CPU? Where did you get it?

Ok, It was boxed from www.overclockers.co.uk

Box Specs:

Made in Malaysia
FPO/BATCH # : L209A552
PACK DATE: 03/26/2002

The board and RAM are from the same people

as they say, ignorance is bliss

Currently running stable at 2.71GHz 169 Bus

Ram is at 1:1 running at 338MHz DDR

Vcore is at 1.725v or +0.225v over default

Cpu temp in Windows is 39c

Anything to make you happy Mr. Bozo! 😉
Great overclock!! Thugsrook has a similar setup running. I have another 1.6A/4BDA/Samsung PC2700 setup on the way for a friends setup.
