I'll agree that is wrong ! Despite that those were not the actions of the protesters in France. That was the act of some idiot who thought burning down a synagogue was a good thing to do, which it is not!! On the other hand does hate crimes commited against Arab American by idiots here in the U.S. after 9/11 mean that it reflects the views of most Americans who support the war on Afganistan ? >>



No, because the US doesn't have a history of persecuting Arab-Americans. The French have a long and terrible history of persecuting Jews. BTW, It wasn't ONE incident. THREE synagogues were attacked, and one Jewish school.

Anti-semitism is alive and well in every country in the world. My own father was a Jew hater and up until the day he died at 80 years of age he could never give me a reason why. He just hated Jews. The whole g0ddamnfvckingworld is going nuts.

I have fought in a war where men stood pretty much face to face and shot each other to pieces. War is fvcking ugly and I would do anything possible to prevent it.

But, I will never run away from a fight that is delivered to my front door. Jews, Arabs, Somalis, bring it on.

Anti-semitism is spreading while the Jewish population is waning. I can picture the day when there will be only two Jews left on this planet and there will still be people complaing that the Jews have all the wealth, power, and influence.
 
If people want to hate an individual for accumulating too much money why don't they hate Bill Gates? I believe he is the richest person on the face of the earth.

If people want to hate a corporation, why don't they hate WalMart? It has the greatest revenues of any retail organization on earth.

What is this fixation mankind has had with hating Jews?
 
Marseille, France has the highest Muslim/Arab percentage among France's largest cities, if I remember correctly. When European press reports on anti-Israeli demonstrations in Europe, what they really mean is 95% Arab/Muslim participants. France in particular is affraid to antagonize their huge Muslim population right now, before upcoming elections.

I heard this is true because of out-marriages (Jews marrying non-Jews) and because Jews don't try to convert other people to their religion. Therefore, it's a decreasing population.

BTW, let me state that I've always like Jews as I was growing up. A lot of the ones I've encountered seem to have similar values as my own. When my parent's restaurant used to stay open at Christmas, we would have a lot of Jewish customers -- so I would sort of feel a kinship towards them.

I don't understand why there seems to be a world-wide dislike of Jews. I get a sense that it is growing by some of the thinly veiled comments on this board from the "terrorist apologists".

When we studied Black History in high school, I remember noticing that the whites who marched with the blacks -- a lot of them tended to be Jewish (or have Jewish sounding names). So it confuses me as to why a lot of blacks in America seem to have anti-Jewish sentiments (maybe it's the influence of the Black Muslim movement?) If I remember correctly, Israel was one of the first countries who sounded the alarm of what was happening in Bosnia (probably because what was happening to the Muslims there reminded them of what happened to them during the Holocaust).

France being without a backbone normally will choose the safest route or choice in any situation.

Better to let the Muslim or Anti-Semites blow up some synagogues and schools then have the French Government take up for the jews and risk getting a government building or two blown up..

Let's face it jews are easy to hate because they are nice and easy going unless you take it too far *cough* Palestinians *cough*:
they will not bang on your door and ask you if you died tomorrow would you go to heaven,

they don't sponsor television shows for the Church of latter day jews,

they don't bang tamborines at airports and sing hideous songs,

they don't spread like a plague across the Persian empire, Northern Africa and Europe and give you ultimatums..convert or die,

plus if round them up into concentration camps and attempt to gas them all to death and fill ditches with their bloated corpses the world won't mind..well ok, we did once, except for France that is

Since when does anyone really care what the French think? If it doesn't involve baking some bread, making a cream sauce, surrendering at the first sign of conflict, or hairy women then I hardly think their "expert" opinion is worth a damn.

I am not a huge fan of Sharon myself, but you are lucky he is in office right now and not Netanyahu (who will be fairly soon tho). Sharon hasnt killed Arafat (yet). Netanyahu says thats what needs to be done. Say what you want about Sharon, but right now Arafat is lucky to have him around and no some others who want him dead.

I'm interested in hearing a woman's perspective. I promise not to call you a tree hugger..about the worst I would call you is a Berkelian.

My wife is a democrat and from California..so I'm used to it. I have de-liberalized her on a few things and she wouldn't blindly vote a democratic ticket anymore(She got to see what Gore was made of after the Florida mishap). Is there such a thing as a Republican or a rightwing female on here or are you all a bunch of treehu...err..Berkelians 😀?
