Question looking to upgrade pc or build another

hello looking to update my pc had it for 4 years now and i hate the bottlenecking all of the time im thinking of building another any ideas i wanna move to a gforce card maybe
MB - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P (Socket M2)
RAM - 8GB
CPU - AMD FX-8320 (not oc'd)
GPU - RX 470 4GB MSI
PSU - -no clue says cx 700

- Not sure what your budget is, what res you're targeting, etc but if I was going to build a PC today, right now, with the prices being what they are:

-i7-10700(K) : 8/16 processor, solid gaming performance, more reasonably priced than many of AMD's 8/16 options.

-A motherboard that suits your needs

-16GB DDR4 3200 memory : whatever brand it's all quite fast and dirt cheap at the moment.

- Some M.2 Form Factor drives (I like Corsair's MP510 series). Getting rid of extra cables is worth the higher price of standard SSD drives.

-A Corsair/Silverstone/Seasonic fully modular 650/750W PSU.

-Keep the RX470 for the foreseeable future unless you're prepared to pay the cost of all of your other components combined for a worthwhile GPU. $600 for the RTX 3060, likely similar price for the 6700xt, and it only gets more expensive from there...

If this is for gaming, the market sucks right now...especially for GPUs.

Since it's not possible to get a GPU upgrade at a reasonable price, I wouldn't bother to upgrade at all.

The CPU/GPU you have are a decent match for each other, I've got an X6-1100T in a similar system.

If you're still on a HDD, maybe look at a cheap SATA SSD to make the system feel snappier.

Actually, depending on your budget, you could look at pre-built systems.
Normally that would cost more, but considering the stock issues and scalper prices...

Now I'm curious, so I'm gonna browse. I'll post again if I find anything interesting.

Spent 90+ minutes looking...I found nothing good worth mentioning.

There was a $1200 "gaming" PC, with a GT1030 that's like 1/4 the speed of your system.

I'm hoping this crazy market will end within a year, about how long the last crypto boom was.

This time it was a perfect storm, with a trade war, COVID, crypto explosion, fire, power outages, droughts.

If you keep your eyes peeled you might get lucky on a prebuilt or less likely an MSRP GPU.
Or if you can find somebody selling a used system/parts for a reasonable price.

For a $1000-1200 system (at normal market prices), you'd be looking at:

8 core/16 thread AMD/Intel (3700x, 5800x, 9900k, 10700k, 11700k)
$35 tower cooler AMD for Intel $75+ high end air/water
16GB DDR4 (3600 low CAS for AMD, generic 3200 for Intel)
Quality MOBO/VRM (B550/X570 AMD, Z390-9900k, Z490/Z590 10 & 11700k)
Good 1TB NVME SSD (ex: WD SN750 or competing products)
Quality 650w 80+Gold PSU (LTT forum has a good PSU tier list)

Last gen 2070 Super, 5700XT ~300$ or current gen 3060ti, 6700XT ~400$
