You can also go out and get yourself a business license + Tax ID number from your city hall. From there, you can go to trade shows and buy all sorts of stuff at wholesale. My uncle does it and pulls down huge $$$... it is a lot of work though.

If you have a credit line of around $15,000 you could make about $1,500 per month selling stuff on eBay.

Buy cheap from Dell (avoid the Hot Deal listings which flood the market go for niche digicams, iPods, etc.) and sell for high on eBay.
What happened to PsychoAndy anyway?

Sell art and pottery from garage sales or thrift shops. I pulled in a $15000 profit when I was doing that.

art sells? Hmmm... gonna have to check that out, I don't think I ever searched any prices on art....

Most of it went to NY or CA. Another thing that sold well was old post cards and old farm equipment memorabilia.

I did this last semester - took a lot of time and the profits aren't all that great. I pulled in about 1500 after four months from selling stuff from Hot Deals, DVD's, and computer games. Majority of the stuff from Hot Deals you wouldn't realize any profit until the MIR came in - I'm still waiting on $100 from two rebates I sent in during February to the infamous New Rochelle rebate center. So, I guess you can make enough to cover your living expenses but don't expect much more. Giving up this semester to concentrate more on what's important, getting that pesky GPA up.
