I use tools a lot, during a 12 month period, but it varies. Sometimes several days in a row; then maybe zero for a month or two.
Have used Dewalt, Rigid, Skil, Milwaukee, Bosch, PorterCable, maybe others over the years.
I'm not a mechanic, but pretty handy.
No tool maker makes the best of everything; what's best for me may not be best for you.
Some tolls I have, I really like using:
PorterCable 7.25 right handed [or is it lefthanded] frame saw (I use it with left hand, even though I'm a righty, because this way the exhaust doesn't blow in my face; you have to remember the blade spin is opposite).
DeWalt 18 volt; have both older regular and newer hammer + regular drill. It's heavy at 5.2lbs, but the 14.4 volt Rigid is 4.7lbs. Using a heavy drill overhead can really be a strain on your wrist; I've gotten used to it.
The Black & Decker 9v/12v/14v are junk, IMHO. RPM is ridiculous.
Have an old Makita 9v; it's weak, but it still works; only use it for "light" jobs.
PorterCable Jigsaw.
PorterCable quick change "sawzall".
Had Skill frame saw; it was stolen; other than annoyed about it being stolen because it just had come back from a minor repair, don't miss it.
DeWalt 4" 18v saw; not bad for smaller items.
