I'm looking into getting a kegerator for home use. I want something high quality first and foremost. More often than not, there will only be 2 people consuming the keg beer so a pony-size keg should do it, but a full size would be nice. I haven't set a budget yet because I don't know what I should be looking to spend to get what I want.

Any kegerator experts around to offer advice/opinions? Thanks!

Have you looked into building your own ? My buddy built a 2 + Homebrew kegerator out of a deep freeze unit. It's great but there are some disadvantages. You'll suddenly realize just how many friends you have when they figure out that you cold draft beer in the house. Beer runs become less frequent but they do get expensive when both kegs run out at the same time.

I built mine out of an old fridge. The fridge was free and the equipment (CO2 tank, regulator, hoses, and tap) only cost around a $100. Get a circle cutter for your fridge, and cut a whole right through the front. Dont cut on the sides, as you may hit a freon line, and that can be expensive to fix and recharge.
