Want to use it in my home office for watching HD broadcasts and as a PC monitor.

Want at least a 23" or maybe a 26".

I like the Samsungs I have seen so for.

What should I look out for ?

A big thing is going to be resolution.

As you may know, a 24" computer monitor will tend to have 1920x1200 resolution.

LCD TVs in this range tend to have significantly lower resolution. They will work just fine for gaming and video at that res (as long as there aren't issues getting it hooked up and the resolution to display), but doing "office stuff" on one might not work out so well depending on what you need it to do.

An LCD in this range might tend to have a res of 1366x768 or so. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that part of it.

I use a HDTV LCD for my computer and it's not good for reading text at 1366x768 resolution. It's great for gaming and movies though.

I use a 50" screen and am about 5-6 ft away. If I were going to get another screen for office gaming use where I was in a desk environment I would definatly get a screen with at least 1680x1050 resolution.

Well what do you think? It's a personal thing.

With my dual 20" monitors I have 3200x1200 for my workspace. At my new job I was working on a laptop with 1024x768 res trying to work with two documents at once and it was incredibly frustrating. 1366x768 is a bit better, but still extremely limited.

Combine the low res with the large screen size and it might not look so great if you're sitting close to it.

On the other hand I have my projector with 1280x720 res and that looks great for games/video.
