Hello,
Looking to pull HD video off DVR. As I am aware you can't pull the HD signal off an HDMI port...but you can over the Component line. Found this line of products...ones an external box unit the other is an internal card. The internal card features the additional ability to use an HDMI port for non-encrypted signals but doesn't have composite inputs like the external box unit.

Anyone with experience with either please let me know how it's worked for you. Anyone with thoughts over a unit with HDMI input over the one with composite let me know. Like I said my biggest desire is to pull HD video from a DRV for future use.
