Looking to overclock opteron 144

Hey, I was wondering if someone can make a suggestion about how much I should overclock. I overclocked already once up to 2160.17 MHz and its currently running at 41 degrees celcius idle. The votage is set to automatic so its always between 1.47 and 1.49V. I want to overclock it more because I can barely run Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare but I don't want to go too far. IF someone with an opteron 144 would tell me how much they overclocked and their current running temperatures, it would be very helpful. Also, I am using stock heatsink/fan included with the cpu. I searched for past threads on opteron 144 and found many also but I just thought I should post anyways. My RAM is Corsair PC3200 1GB VS1GB400C3 if anyone was wondering. The stepping for the opteron is E4 or something. If there is any more info you guys need, let me know. Thanks.

Edit: Also, should I force the voltage is stay below 1.49V or should I keep it at Auto? The voltage shot up to 1.57V after I overclocked it to 2.2 GHz just a few minutes ago. Temperature is around 43 celcius. I won't overclock it anymore until someone responds.

Don't use autooverclocking tools. They tend to do a lot of strange stuff that you don't want it to do. Do it yourself is the only way to get a decent OC with the lowest voltages.

I didn't use autooverclocking tools. Did it through bios, which is the only thing I have ever used to overclock. In bios, in the place where it asks you for your cpu voltage, I have it set to auto. Should I set the voltage manually or not and if so, how much should I set it.. that's what I meant =p . I am also thinking about overclocking it to 2.5 GHz but I need temperature figures from people who already own Opteron 144 socket 939.

First, you need to see what your bottleneck is. I am talking about your complaint about Ghost Recon. If the bottleneck is your graphics card, you may not get much by overclocking your CPU. You can benefit more by upgrading or overclocking your graphics card.

The easiest way to find out is to first underclock your CPU significantly. Then, try the game and record the FPS you get. Then, increase the CPU frequency and try it again. Keep increasing the CPU frequency and at each step record the FPS you get until you reach your current CPU frequency.

Now, you can draw a simple graph showing your FPS versus your CPU frequency. Depending on what the graph looks like, you will know if the CPU overclock would help you or not.

If the FPS keeps going up sharply as you increase the CPU frequency, you know that you can increase the CPU frequency more and get more FPS. But, if the graph shows that the FPS does not go up much as you increase the CPU frequency, you will know that it is your graphics card that is limiting you.

I have my 144 running at 9x303 on Asrock 939 Dual SATAII. I have set the voltage to 1.45V. My idle temperature is 34. My load temperature is 47.
I have 2 x 1GB RAM running at 195MHz (memory divider).
I have a 7800GT graphics card, which is my main bottleneck in games.
