Don't you have to be like Mormon or some shite? Maybe its the NSA or CIA I am thinking of.

What? I know its one of those 3 letter gov't offices that hires mostly mormon or amish people (I don't think it's amish)

I think Xiety nailed that one.

crim justice is kind of a joke degree (at least here @ my school). It is what all the football players are in. However, crim justice and a 2nd degree in Comp Sci or Accounting or a Language might not be bad.

1) Wrong choice if you want to make money. You never go federal to make tons of money...you go for the retirement plan and connections.

2) Don't count on an internship, they are near impossible to get.

3) You will rarely "protect" people in the FBI. Most of it is paper work, even as a special agent. Yes, do you get to investigate, but time on the street is limited, so don't get your hopes up.

4) I REALLY hope you speak Arabic, Mandarin, or maybe Spanish. Unless you have a skill they want, you aren't going to get looked at. And computer science...well, the market is too flooded, so don't count on that as they aren't hiring as much as they used to in that field.

5) I would do accounting if i really wanted into the FBI.

Accounting for sure. Specifically, a Masters degree in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution.

criminal justice..

If you want to throw your life away, sure, get a criminal justice degree.

???

At worst it limits your options to various positions in the CJ system. I don't see how it's "throwing your life away." Even if I got hurt in the line of duty I could get a desk job in the field, which would still be more interesting than a desk job in the private sector.

you can have any degree and get in as long as you are fluent in a foreign language. I applied for a job with the CIA in their clandestine operations and they still called me twice after i declined their offer for an in person interview. I have a Econ degree and can speak chinese.
