Looking to get Athlon XP mobile CPU

Hi everyone,
I wanted to upgrade my CPU to a 45watt Athlon XP mobile. I want to overclock it for all it is worth!! However, which one is currently the better overclocker?? the 2500+ or the 2600+ ???
I am looking to buy one from Newegg.com....
Which stepping is currently the best???

currently, the 2600+ seems to oc a little higher with more stability, so if you intend to get to the 2.5ghz area, go for the 2600+ mobile.

Yeah, in theory, the 2600+ should be able to hit the highest clockspeed. I've got a 2600+ that's running 190x12.5 = 2375Mhz on my older 8RDA board with 1.65v Vcore. My board doesn't like a FSB higher than 190-195, but I figure the 2600+ could do much more.

With a good board and RAM that likes 200+ FSB, you could probably hit 2.5Ghz easy with the 2600+

Good choice 2600 is the bomb...both mine do over 2600mhz when I give it 1.8vcore...

Got a 2600 mobile from NewEgg about a month ago. Don't remember the stepping. Currently running 12.5 X 204 @ 1.7 volts using a heatsink made by a Thermaltake subsidiary. It uses a squirrel cage blower with dual ball bearing and a copper insert. Cost $11. Temp at idle is 43 deg C and at full load peaks at 54 deg C. I'm sure there is more in the processor/motherboard if I wanted to continue jacking the voltage. Moterboard is NF 7 rev2.0 and ram is a gig of Corsair value 3200. All in all pretty impressive for a $350 investment in processor, board and ram.

Yes and on old air. A Thermalright AX-7 which is my testing HSF cause it's easy to install with clips instead of screws. however, Now I have one processor watercooled doing 2700 w/ 1.80V and the other is on a cheap speeze doing 2491 with 1.65.... that one could do more...obviously... but the aluminium only HS is is running about as hot as I care to have.
