Looking to get a Robot Vacuum, problems with dark floors still?

I'm looking to get a robot vacuum to pick up pet hair and dust. More so the dust than pet hair as we live across from a 10 acre dirt field, downwind. Amazon has the Eufy Robovac 11+ at a very decent price right now, and has gotten great reviews for a budget vacuum. My question has to do with the flooring. We have very dark tile flooring, and very little carpeting one step down. No rugs. I'm seeing in my research that these robot vacuums have issues with dark flooring, or shadows, leading the units to think the shadow line or dark flooring is a step and it'll avoid it so it doesn't think it will fall. Does anyone with dark flooring have a robot vacuum they can comment on this issue? Our flooring is very dark brown, and I don't want to drop some cash on it if it won't work as well. Thanks.

I've got an Eufy robovac 11+. I think they're great. (Actually just bought a second one for my office).

I've got dark wood flooring in my house and never had a problem. I will say though that strong sunlight seems to affect my unit. (keep drapes closed when running or steer it out of the sunlight)

Have some kind of Roomba. Works fine on my dark hardwood.

My advice? Buy a used one - replace the battery (if necessary) and save hundreds. They honestly aren't $300 - $500 machines.

We’ve had a Neato robovac for 3 years. Dark laminate floors never bothered it. We’ll have to see how it handles the new hand-scraped hardwoods in the new house...once I get it unpacked. (I think it’s time for new batteries too)

I got the 15c for Christmas and it works pretty good. I was skeptical at first but after setting it up and letting it do its thing for a couple of days I was sold.
We have a Collie and a cat and they shed constantly especially the Collie who has long hair. Her hair collects in balls like tumble weed. haha

Anyway, battery life is decent on the 15c it goes 2 hours before it needs a charge and we have to empty the trap 3 to 4 times because it gets full of hair and debris. The 15c doesn't have much in the way of room mapping. It just kind of bumps around main floor doing its thing. Our main floor is around 1800 sq ft which is a combination of tile and hardwood. The hardwood floor is a medium to dark color and I haven't seen any issues with it.
