I haven't messed much with Windows ME but I seriously doubt that it supports multiple processors. ME is built on the same platform as 9x.

Windows ME is not an SMP aware OS so a dual processor system will not benefit from the second processor.

No problems with opengl and win2000 here. Do you have the latest drivers. Nvidia and 3dfx cards both have decent win2000 drivers.

if you have dual processors, you need NT4 or NT5(win2k), win2k does most of my games, but I triple boot with RH Linux and win98 (soon WinME).... and Win95, Win98, WinME do not support dual processors.... although they do access one :)

Yup..everyone's right on the SMP issue. WinME will not take any advantage of the second processor. For the problems you're having with the games... did you apply the "critical update" from the microsoft's website which resolved many game problems? Also, as mentioned above, get the latest drivers for your video card.

I have a Matrox G400 Max. Drivers for Win2K work great. Actually better than WIn9x. I can play quake and use dualhead if I want. OpenGL works wonderful too. DL the latest drivers for your card. No way you should trade Win2K for ME!!! Especially if the sys if a dually!! ME doesn't support Dual. ALl my many games work great with Win2K. Good Luck.

Stick with 2K though:D
