Looking to buy a new gaming PC for around $1,500

I was hoping AT could help me "jump start" back into building a new gaming PC for around $1,500.

I'm not looking for configs, I'm asking for websites that will help me get up to speed so I can make my own choices. I really want to build and not buy a Dell.

Anyone have any suggestions on where I should start researching? Besides AT of course!

what's the resolution you're planning on playing on? 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 ?

1280x1024, I have a current LCD 19" 16ms that runs great so far, I intend to keep it for now.

Right now I'm just reading just to get back up to speed, it's a big brave new world since I built my last PC. I'm eager to try it again.
