Save up and look in a year or two. Aren't there cheaper condo's in the area?

Condos > Duplexes

The cheapest one around my work that I've seen is $99,000 for a 1/1 very small condo and $129,000 for a 1/1 with larger area and full size washer/dryer. $164,000 for a 2/1. I looked at one place and they wanted $250,000 for a 1/1.

In the area around where the houses I'm looking at the cheapest I've seen online is a 2/2 for $89,000 for a condo/apartment style. Also, that is without looking at it... so I don't know what area it's in.

Most of the 'condos' listed for sale in that area are duplex looking homes. Plus most places tack on another $100 or so for association fees a month.

I just went through a bunch more houses and all of the houses under $125k are in the ghetto... MLK, etc. So if I want to hear gunshots every night I guess I could live there.

I have a couple leads, but we'll see how they pan out tomorrow. 🙂
