I'm looking to buy a car here in the near future. I'd like a sedan, preferably full size, 4 door, with good gas mileage. I have 25,000 to spend on a car, and would definetely like the car to be sporty if possiblle. I've looked at the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Mazda6 pretty heavily. What kind of cars would anyone recommend with those requirements? Thanks so much.

I bought one of their guides just to find out some info:

You can also use their service of haggling the car dealers on your behalf. They claim that you can save a lot of money by paying them $100+ for their service. I never did try it, but I ended up using their guide, which was pretty helpful. I got my car about $200 less than the average invoice pricing in my area. That's with taxes and other fees included.

I had 3 pretty short and different test-drives this weekend:

- Mazda6 5-door Value Edition. Very disappointing. Haven't been entertained at all by anything.

- Mazda CX-7 Base Sport FWD. Much more appeal than the 6. More power and fun. Amazing brakes. Still... weird feeling inside. Cheap plastic and sad colors scheme.

- Subaru Outback Wagon 2.5i. Fun, powerful, ideal seating. Noisier than the mazda's (you hear the engine running, even at low speed). Very comfortable car.

Civic 4door Si,

If I knew how to drive stick I would have bought one. The dealer even offered to teach me how to drive a stick on one of their trade ins but I turned it down as I sit in too much traffic on bridges for a stick to be viable.

Legacy GT. Not sure if you can find a new one for $25k though, but there are used ones in that price range.

Doesn't have good mileage.

OP, Honda Accord sounds good.

You've got an Automatic transmission LGT, right? What kind of "real world" milage are you pulling in yours?

Sporty and good gas mileage are definitely contradictory, lol. There are some cars that are powerful that get decent mileage. Nissan Maxima gets 30mpg I think highway and that's got a V6. Handling wise it's a pretty big car though so it's not going to feel sporty. If you want that light to the touch handling feel you need a lighter car aka not fullsize. G35 sedan might be a good compromise but they are expensive. Honda Accord v6 I suppose would be in the range you're looking for too.

EDIT: As for me, I'm eyeing the 2005-2006 GTO's. Not a particular beautiful car but you gotta love a 6.0 liter V8. And eff the gas mileage! Hahaha
