Looking to buy a barrel of whiskey...

Anyone know about a place that sells these? I know some of the distilleries used to sell them directly, but it is not a common practice.

Also curious about the general price. Would make a great gift, or something to put away for myself, or something to permanently leave tapped on the kitchen counter!

Whiskey comes in barrel?? I think they generally come in bottles dude. How on earth are you gonna finish a barrel of whiskey?? Even if it's a party, it would take like 500 people to finish it! 😀

how big is a barrel of whiskey? like huge barrel size? thats a lot of whiskey.
what are you going to do with that much whiskey

<< Wow - $7500-$8000 for a barrel of Jack Daniels. >>

It's not common place because it tastes horrible (even JD). They need to filter the whisky with carbon and nano-membrane filters before it's drinkable becasue of the ash inside the barrel.

Nice thought though.

Agreed, now only if I were rich and replacement livers were available 🙂
