Because you posted here, I assume you are going to overclock. The intel board you listed DOES NOT allow to overclock at all. I would recommend the Asus P4B800 which is based on the same Intel 865 chipset. You can enable PAT (which improves performance) via a simple bios update. Plus the P4B800 is overclocking rich (from what Ive read). The 2.6C/2.8C P4's seem to be the best choice for overclocking because of the higher mulitplyer which will be easier to overclock. Make sure you get good high quality ram, Cosair XMS PC3200LL would be the best choice.

Geez, I didn't mean to post here...I don't want to o'clock this setup, this is going to be for my brother, I'm jest looking to build a stock comp, that's pretty fast.

I don't know what type of ram to use tho...and I was wondering if the mobo that I posted up there is a pretty good mobo?

Oh, and sorry for posting in the wrong forum...

Shuddup. This is the CPU AND Overclocking forum... You DON'T have to post about overclocking to post here.

Well, haven't gotten any other comments on this, but i'm gonna try oner more time i guess...below is what i am thinking about so far:

CPU:
http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductList.jsp?ThirdCategoryCode=010408
MOBO:
http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=240887
RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=&submit=Go&description=N82E16820145416
VIDCARD:
http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=173083

So dual channel works like if you have 2 stick of ram, and they're not right next to each other? If so, then maybe I'll order 2 sticks of the above mentioned ram. Not sure bout that vidcard tho...any comments anyone?
