I just finished one of those, though not with quite that fancy an LCD. For a high res LCD like that, you'd want to check out
Matrix Orbital. It'll run you some money, though - for a display like the one in the picture, I'd guess about $100 for just the LCD unit. If you want to stay cheap, get a plain serial LCD from them or from
Crystalfontz who are a bit cheaper. Both companies will sell you the other minor parts you need to go with the display. I believe my 16x2 serial display with all cables cost about $75. Both include Windows software also, and there's ton of free stuff online for both Windows and Linux, including Winamp plugins as pictured.
Mounting the display might more of an issue - both the companies have some drive bay kits, but you may not like their style. I got my LCD from Crystalfontz, but they only sell bay kits with their tacky logo on them, so I cut my own with a nibbler and file, and ordered some long and narrow screws from
Fastener Express to attach the LCD. Came out pretty well, though I did learn a few tricks should I do one again.
edit: Also, are you sure the unit pictured fit in a 5.25 bay? There's usually quite a bit of silicon behind those - my 16x2 is the smallest model, and it
barely fit a 5.25. Most of the mods I've seen with the bigger displays use 2 bays.
