Looking for wireless router suggestions

Hello all,

Looking for the current best wireless router for the money.
Looking for long wireless range and high wired throughput for gaming

Thanks,
-sponge

Can't seem to find any reviews or roundups o the net that are current

I just installed a Linksys WRT600N and it works really well.
Its being used in an Office with a mix of wired and wireless connections.
Laptops two rooms way from the Router have full bars.
I would definitely recommend it!

Yea I would recommend linksys for their range but not really reliability(even though everyone else seems to think they are the most reliable). I would recommend netgear if you are looking for reliability, i dont have to reboot netgear as much as the other brands.

how is the trendnet?

TrendNet seems hit or miss, some of their products I have used work well. While others have not. Reliability or warranty support may be an issue.

I like Jack's idea of using DD-WRT(i swear he has a boiler plate for it just ready to paste into posts lol), I have found the linksys WRT54GL to be good. Make sure you the L version as you will have a much easier time loading DD-WRT or another variant of an open-source firmware called Tomato
